digital photographyWhen choosing digital photography as a career, you have to know what you are doing and you have to have a passion for the activity. Not everyone knows how to take pictures, it is not as easy as just clicking the capture button, you have to capture the right moments. A few highlights that one will find in this career are; it is a competitive position to be in, with so many others in the same field. Technical skill and creativity are very important to have. You might find it easier to work for yourself and not for a boss. All the work you do is for yourself anyway, so once you have progressed you can open yourself a little gallery or shop to display your works.

When it comes to digital photography, the photographer must be able to capture perfect imagery that imagines an event or a story. The viewer should feel like they were there when the shot was taken, they must feel the energy. With technical and creative skills, creating quality photos are possible and that is what you need to ensure your success. Digital photography is almost like a sport or hobby, don't think of it as a career, think of it as something you love doing. You also have to learn to take in the scene you are shooting, manipulate the different light angles; play with the zoom and lenses until you find the perfect shot!

Also with digital photography, one is able to take a picture and modify it with certain software of a computer. The affects of many pictures are manipulated on the computer rather than done when the picture is taken, but this is all part of photography. When you have uploaded the images to the computer you can then store it onto a CD or a memory stick if you wish. Photographers always keep their pictures; never throw a good picture away, even if you think it is rubbish, someone else might think it is the best thing they have ever seen.
